Were it not so close to the galactic plane and so viewed through dust, this galaxy would be a naked eye object. At around 10 million light years, it's one of the closet galaxies to us and is almost as wide as the full moon. Strange place.

Left this one going all night guiding with PHD2 under GDB expecting to get a crash and core file to debug, but nada. My only conclusion is that using the INDI camera connection, PHD2 is stable.
