omegon pro newton N 203/1000

Well, the mirror cell is a disaster waiting to happen. As you tighten the primary mirror adjustment screws clockwise against the springs, there comes a point where the metal tip of the screw will bear against the bare glass on the underside of the primary mirror itself (sic).

As this is also the case with the TS pro newton, I conclude that this is common to all GSO manufactured Newtonian reflectors. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Easily fixed with a m6 nut and washer on the black adjustment knobs. But still...

OK. So onto the stuff needed to make it acceptable for astro-photography. The springs, the secondary mirror adjustment screws, a proper long, wide dovetail plate, a box section along the top of the rings, etc, etc...

The optics are lovely. Well worth the extra investment both financially and in tinkering time to bring it up to speed.

Tested with the separate guide telescope. I think I'd be happier with the OAG though.
