ngc2174

 With the moon out of the way at last and finally some reasonable seeing, viz the stars not bouncing around as if they were coming down from something, after the foray far north into Camelopardalis, EKOS took us south ar around 02:00.

This is an emission nebula  6523 light years distant consisting of H+ ions -protons- which emit at a wavelength of 656nm. In the red.
