 Sometimes called tilter.

Starting with the left to right tilt.

With the camera orientation horizontal and viewing from behind the camera:

screws 1 and 3 PUSH

screws 2 and 4 PULL

after adjusting, tighten screw 2 on the right set and screw 4 on the left set

Loosen screw-2 and tighten screw-1 about 1/2 to 1 turn, then re-tighten screw 2 BOTH top and bottom of the right hand set, produces:

We now know that increasing the plate distance of the vertically positioned right hand side set of screws affects the left hand side stars.

We return the right-hand sets of screws to their fully tightened position (screw-1 loose, screw-2 tight) and gradually increase the spacing on the left hand sets of screws until...

And my patience ends because it looks good enough...!

Still to do: find out the effect of adjusting the horizontally opposed sets of screws does to get the top and bottom tilt.
