Evidently not the lirio version, rather vision and camera lens related and not at all easy to record. Gas and dust lit by a blue star 1300 light years away.

 Discovered by Sir William Herschel on 18th. October 1793 and not that far away at just 1300 light years, this is a nebula illuminated by its central star.

 The main target tonight was ngc7023, the iris nebula but it only got to imageable height after midnight. Need something to do for an hour or so. Found some fuzzy patches which were high enough. Had to plate solve it to find if there was anything there. Spectacular stuff...
Oh, and then dense fog. Wonderful.
